נולד בשנת 1941 בבואנוס איירס, ארגנטינה. בין השנים 1969-1971 למד גיליירמו צילום, קולנוע וטכניקות אורקוליות במוסד המוניציפאלי לאומנות חזותית שבעיר אוולנדה, במחוז של בואנוס איירס, ארגנטינה. בשנת 1972 החל לצלם באמצעות מצלמת אקסקטה ורקס (Exakta Varex). בשנים 1973-1974 טייל בסידני, אוסטרליה שם צילם את אורחות חייהם של האוסטרלים. בשנת 1980 הגיע גווילרמו לישראל בה למד צילום, פוטושופ, מחשוב לצלמים וכדרות בתוכנית החינוכית תרשיש במכללת קיי שבבאר שבע. המשורר מטייל רבות בכל רחבי הארץ ואוהב לצלם את אורח החיים הישראלי בכל המדינה. גווילרמו אף טייל לסלובניה-בוסניה, קרואטיה, פריז, שבצרפת, פראג שבצ'כיה, דרסדן שבגרמניה ועוד שם ניצל את ההזדמנות על מנת לצלם את חיי האנשים בכל המקומות הללו. צילומיו של גווילרמו משקפים את מעורבותו האישית במאבקים של האנושות למול עוני וייסורים. האמן לא רק מבחין בחוויות האנושיות אלא צולל לתוכם עם כל חושיו. גווילרמו פעיל למען זכויות אדם ומאמין כי לאומנות יש כוח להוביל לשינוי ממשי. אומנותו משתייכת לזרמי האומנות הקונספטואלית והמודרנית. מאז שנת 2008 השתתף האמן במעל ל-40 תצוגות יחיד וקבוצתיות ואף זכה במספר פרסים בתחרויות "פוטו רוויסטה", בואנוס איירס.
Guillermo Rapoport
was born in 1941 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1969-1971 he studied photography, film and audiovisual techniques at The Municipal Institute of Visual Arts in Avellaneda City, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina and in 1972 he began photographing with his Exakta Varex camera. He traveled to Sydney, Australia in 1973-1974 where he photographed Australian life. He arrived in Israel in 1980, where he then studied photography, photoshop, computers for photographers and ceramics in the Tarshish educational program at Kaye College in Beer Sheva. Guillermo travels extensively throughout Israel and likes to take photographs that depict Israeli life all over the country. He has also travelled to Slovenia; Bosnia-Herzegovina; Croatia; Paris, France; Prague, Czechia; Dresden, Germany, and USA ,California and has taken the opportunity to photograph life in all these places. Guillermo's photographs of life show his personal involvement in humankind's struggle with poverty and misery. He not only observes these human experiences but also immerses himself in them with all his senses. He is a civil rights activist who believes that art has the power to create change. Guillermo's artwork belongs to the conceptual and modern art streams. Since 2008 he has participated in aproximately 40 solo and group exhibitions and got awards from the “ Foto Revista Buenos Aires Argentina Contests Numbers 29 (3), 37(5), 40(2),41(4) and several publications in the Tarshiton magazine of the tarshish educational program Kay College.
