קרן גוריון, ילידת 1973, חיה ויוצרת בבאר שבע, ישראל.
אמנית רב תחומית, אוטודידקטית. מתמחה בציור מופשט.
בוגרת תואר ראשון במדעי הטבע והסביבה מהאוניברסיטה הפתוחה, אנגליה (2000) ותואר שני עם תזה בהגנת הסביבה הימית מאוניברסיטת ווילס, בריטניה (2003). בעברה שימשה כסגנית יו"ר איגוד אמני הפסיפס המודרני הבריטי (BAMM).
בשנים האחרונות עוסקת בעיקר בציור. מציירת בסגנון אקספרסיבי מופשט, בצבעי אקריליק ומדיה מעורבת על בדי קנבס, משטחי עץ ונייר.
גוריון מתחילה ציור חדש עם תכנון מוקדם מסוים של רגש או רעיון, ללא רישום. בחירת הצבעים והרעיון מובילים את הציור, אשר לעיתים מוליך את עצמו למקומות אחרים, למרות הכוונה הראשונית.
ציוריה מושפעים בעיקר מהטבע, מנוף ילדותה, על שפת ים סוף והרי אדום, מהצבעים העזים של הטבע באנגליה, שם גרה במשך 12 שנים, ובעיקר מהים שאליו היא מחוברת בנימי נפשה. גוריון גם מחפשת את משמעות הצבע ואיך הוא משפיע על רגשות. הציורים מספרים את סיפורה האישי, מיקשה אחת של מחשבות, זיכרונות, רגשות, חוויות ומשאלות – מראָה של נבכי הנפש.
גוריון הציגה את עבודותיה עד היום במסגרת תערוכות קבוצתיות באנגליה ובארץ ובתערוכות יחיד בתיאטרון הסמטה, בגלריה של קיבוץ מגן ובבית האמנים של היוצרים בנגב.

Keren Gurion, born in 1973, lives and creates in Be'er-Sheva in Israel.
Multidisciplinary artist, autodidact, specializing in abstract painting.
Bachelor (1st) in Natural & Environmental Sciences from the UK Open University (2000) and a Master in Marine Environmental Protection (Distinction) from Bangor University, Wales, UK (2003). In the past Gurion was the vice chair of the British Association of Modern Mosaic (BAMM).
In the last few years, Gurion mainly paints. Her style is expressively abstracted, using acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas, wood or paper.
Gurion starts a new painting with preliminary planning of a feeling or a concept that she would like to express, with no drawing. The colour pallet chosen and the idea lead the painting, although sometimes the painting leads itself to other places and becomes something else, despite the initial guidance.
Her paintings are mainly influenced by the natural environment, and her childhood landscape, as she grew up by the Red Sea, the Red Mountains of Jordan, and the surrounding desert, as well as the intense colours of the landscapes in England and Wales, where she lived for 12 years. Gurion is also looking for the meaning of colours and how they impact on the soul and feelings. The paintings tell her personal story, one piece of thoughts and wonders, memories, feelings, experiences, and wishes – a mirror of the depth of her soul.
Gurion has exhibited her works as part of group exhibitions in England and Israel and had a few solo exhibitions Israel: at Ha'Simta Theatre, Kibbutz Magen Galery and at the Artist House Association in Be'er-Sheva.
